A Quiet Place

What a quiet place it is

when the momentum

of activity slows down

and there is no call on me

to do anything or be anything.

What a quiet place it is

to just allow that quiet place

to be and not interfere

with it in any way or fill it up

with needless distraction.

What a quiet place it is

and how mysterious!

As if the whole world

and everything in it

has stopped and become

so silent and still I can hear

the whispers of my own soul

calling me Home.
