Not My Will

Not my will but Thy will be done sounds good in theory but what happens when you realize your life is meant for service alone and that there is an impeccability to that that can’t be found with anything else?


What happens when the futile attempt to achieve lasting fulfillment through acquiring one’s wants is replaced by the quiet rightness of finding oneself powerlessly conveyed to the hands and will of the Lord?


I’ll tell you what happens: for the very first time in your life everything finally makes perfect, faultless sense.
