Anne Sweet and Amir Freimann in conversation: The spiritual dimension of illness and death
Over time, as the discovery of my true nature beyond the personal identity became integrated and established, it transformed every aspect of my inner and outer life, except one. Ten years earlier my health and vitality had suddenly collapsed through contracting the poorly understood illness M.E/CFS (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome). Since then, I have been able to manage the illness in a way that has enabled me to have a reasonable if restricted quality of life, and to continue my career as a visual artist and writer/creator of this website.
There have been long periods of severe and disabling ill health from M.E/CFS during this time however, and several months ago my health took a sudden and very serious turn for the worse. In this conversation with Amir Freimann we explore the contours of my experience facing the possibility of long term debilitating illness and the inevitability of death.
